We are all used to seeing the Arab-Israeli conflict on TV, reading about it in the newspapers or hearing about it on the radio. Sometimes, we are even involved in discussions related to this conflict, trying to prove or to explain something to others.
But how well do we really know what this conflict is about? Why is it that for so many years no solution has been created? Were there at least any attempts to solve it? And what is happening with this conflict today?
Perhaps some of you have already raised these questions in your minds. Some of you may be facing them for the first time. But whether you are a veteran in this field or just a beginner, you will probably enjoy the opportunity to discuss these questions with someone who has dedicated many years to the study of the Arab- Israeli conflict and is an expert in this subject.
Dima Adamsky has worked on his PhD dissertation at the School of Political Sciences, University of Haifa and at the Institute for Strategic Studies, Harvard University . He has presented the findings of his works in a number of professional conferences and has been published in academic journals. His book earned the prize for the best academic work on Israeli security in 2006, and is forthcoming in an English edition from the Harvard Cold War Book Series. He has retired after a long career in strategic planning in the IDF and the Ministry of Defense
